Acquire One-of-One Contemporary Works

Corey Wesley is a Harlem-based contemporary artist creating one-of-one portrait art acquired by collectors, interior designers, and hospitality spaces seeking defining visual anchors. Each work is executed on aluminum and permanently archived upon acquisition—ensuring singular ownership with no reproduction. These are one-of-one works collected for presence, not commissioned portraits.

Why Collect Corey Wesley

Why Collect Contemporary Portrait Art by Corey Wesley

Corey Wesley’s contemporary portrait art is acquired by collectors, interior designers, and hospitality spaces seeking work that holds presence and defines an environment. Each piece is created as a one-of-one aluminum work and permanently archived upon acquisition, ensuring singular ownership with no reproduction.

Emotional Depth and Recognition

Wesley’s portrait works engage strength, vulnerability, tension, and restraint. The result is art that invites recognition and sustained attention rather than quick interpretation.

Rooted in Harlem and New York

Created from the cultural energy of Harlem and the rhythm of New York City, the work carries both intimacy and presence. This grounding gives each portrait a distinct point of view within contemporary spaces.

One-of-One Material Presence

Corey Wesley’s primary works are one-of-one aluminum portraits, often created in commanding formats such as 24 × 36 or 36 × 24. Material clarity and controlled execution give the work physical strength and collector significance.

Collected for What They Hold

These portraits are acquired not simply for image, but for what they hold—presence, tension, emotional weight, and a continued sense of discovery over time.

Designed to Shift Perspective

At its core the work invites reflection. These portraits ask viewers to look longer, feel more deeply, and reconsider what gives a face its power.

Interior Design Projects

Selected by interior designers sourcing artwork that anchors a room, the work introduces contrast, identity, and a defined focal point within residential environments.

Hospitality & Commercial Spaces

Placed within hotels, lounges, offices, and commercial environments, the work holds atmosphere and presence in spaces where visual impact is required, not optional.

Acquisition Questions

Shipping, Handling, and Installation

Clear guidance for collectors, interior designers, and hospitality buyers preparing to place one-of-one works.

Shipping

Each work is professionally prepared and shipped directly to the collector or designated recipient. Because each piece is one-of-one, delivery should be arranged to a secure location where it can be received directly. Once delivery is confirmed by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient.

Handling & Installation

Framed works arrive ready to hang. Aluminum works include a French cleat mounting system for secure wall installation. Residential collectors and design teams may install independently, with guidance available upon request.

Hospitality & Commercial Placement

Hospitality, office, and commercial placements are handled more directly. Buyers may inquire regarding multi-work coordination, delivery planning, and placement considerations specific to the project.

Questions regarding shipping, placement, or acquisition may be directed by email for tailored guidance before purchase.

A Note from the Artist

I’m always honored when a one-of-one portrait work is acquired and placed within a collector’s residence, a private office, or a design-led environment. Each piece is created to live with someone over time—to hold presence, invite reflection, and remain emotionally and visually active within the space it enters.
